I’ve finally come to terms with a truth that’s been quietly knocking for a while now: I’m growing older.
I’ve always been a bit clumsy—it’s just who I am. But as we age, those slips and stumbles that once ended in laughter can become much more serious. A fall now could leave me alone, unable to call for help. That reality is no longer something I can ignore.
Recently, I found all the missing pieces I needed—and I made the call to activate my fall detection device. It may seem like a small step, but it could very well save my life.
The bottom line? I can’t stop the clock. I can’t change the fact that I’m aging. But what I can do is choose to grow older safely. And that’s exactly what I intend to do.
