Some Friend Requests I’m Not Accepting…

Let me say this kindly and clearly — protecting your space is not being rude, it’s being responsible.
Here are a few requests I’m choosing not to accept:
• You have no profile picture and I don’t know you.
• Your profile name is a symbol or random characters and I don’t know you.
• Your page is in a language I don’t understand and we have no connection.
• You present yourself as a “military officer,” “doctor,” “engineer,” etc., but the profile feels inauthentic.
My social media pages are an extension of my real life community. I use them to highlight positive voices, share resources, and build genuine connections. If I wouldn’t hand someone the keys to my home, I’m not handing over access to my digital space either.
No hard feelings — just healthy boundaries.
Now I’m curious…
What kind of friend requests are you choosing not to accept?
